It’s a cultural rule that everyone in Edinburgh has to have an alter ego – if there’s not a touch of the Deacon Brodie about you do you even deserve to live here? And though it probably ruins it if you confess to your other side, mine is the shairny flee, a Scots term for a dung fly. Unlike me, Shairny Flee has a Soundcloud and a Mixcloud, where he posts dj mixes and occasional edits of tracks that could do with the odd dance floor friendly tweak or two. Yes I do have a thing about the Human League what of it.
